Achia Albin

Albin var med til den første snittefest og vi er meget glade for igen at kunne byde ham velkommen.
Albin bor i Uganda og lever af at lave stole og skamler.

Albin laver de karakteristike West Nile stole der har en unik konstruktion der er nedarvet igennem generationer og kun kendes fra det nordlige Uganda. Der benyttes hverken lim, søm eller skruer til at samle stolene. Stolene er i stedet spændet i en lidt for snæver samling som giver en umådelig stærk stol.

Albin was one of the workshopteachers at the first Snittefest and we are very pleased to welcome him back. Albin lives in Uganda and makes his living from making chairs and stools.
Albin makes the West Nile chair which has an unique construction which has been handed down for generations in Northern Uganda. The construction doesn't use any glue, nails or screws but is made up of only wood, willow (palm in Uganda) and string.
